Claudia Strenger
Founder, Calligrapher, Graphic Designer, Illustrator, & Stationer
Most would assume calligraphers are naturally detail-oriented and patient people. I would agree.
I have been obsessed with calligraphy since I took my first class with Friends of Calligraphy in 2010. I quickly learned that the craft wasn’t for the faint of heart. I was surprised and impressed by the amount of time it took to learn, practice, and create - truly a labor of love!
Originally from Colombia, I embarked on a creative journey here in the states, starting with my formal education in graphic design. My studies opened the world to me, allowing me to live and work in beautiful places like Santiago, Chile, and Buenos Aires, Argentina. After several years, I settled into the equally fascinating city of San Francisco, California, where I continued to hone my skills as a graphic designer for Toyota and Apple.
It’s no surprise that I’ve had a passion for all things handmade for as long as I can recall. That’s why it made perfect sense to combine my love of handwritten stationery with my experience as a graphic designer. The result was the official launch of my business, Claudia Strenger - Wedding Calligraphy & Stationery Design, proudly based out of San Diego, California.
As a wife, mother of two, and an entrepreneur, I understand the juggling act of life all too well. I serve couples who don’t want to abandon their dream of a traditional, visually stimulating wedding because they lack the time (or know-how) to bring it to life. They depend on me and my creative skills to take what’s in their head and make it real.
My goal is always to create a communicative, highly-collaborative environment where couples feel at ease knowing I will surpass their expectations and meet their deadlines without sacrificing quality. I leave every project with the feeling that I've created something beautiful and, in the process, made a special connection with the couples.

Beyond being Claudia’s right-hand man (in life & business), Eric is a true visionary and talented artist who supports and works hand-in-hand with Claudia to bring our clients’ visions to life on small or large scales.
